Twenty year old Halifax native Savannah Newton is entering her junior season with the Boston University Terriers. Before enrolling at Boston University, she played three seasons at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario.  She was an assistant captain for her final two seasons at Appleby.  Newton helped lead the team to a second-place finish at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association (OFSAA) Championships as a sophomore and a third-place finish as a senior.

As a freshman at Boston University, Newton appeared in 10 games.  In her sophomore season, she appeared in 38 games and recorded six assists and a plus 7 rating.
